Reconciliation Action Plan

​​​​​What is a RAP?

A Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is a formal commitment to reconciliation. It documents how our school will strengthen relationships, respect and opportunities in the classroom, around the school and with the community.


Star of the Sea Reconciliation Action Plan

Star of the Sea Primary School have developed a Reconciliation Action Plan using the Narragunnawali platform to register and begin their reconciliation journey as well as to extend on existing initiatives.

​The RAP is developed to grow our community’s understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, beliefs, spirituality and cultures.

The plan will strengthen our reconciliation initiatives and create further opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees and students.

The Narragunnawali RAP framework outlines a sustainable, holistic approach to driving reconciliation in education by building relationships, respect and opportunities in the classroom, around the school and with the community. The RAP framework comprises of 40 actions including assurances to maintain consistency and quality across all RAPs.


Acknowledgement of Country

We are proud to present our Acknowledgement of Country video, featuring the voices and presence of our First Nations students, staff, parishioner, and elder. This video honours the land, sea, and sky of Quandamooka country, where we live, work, and play. It reflects our deep respect for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of this land and our commitment to our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). Through this initiative, we aim to create meaningful opportunities for First Nations peoples and foster a deeper understanding and connection within our community.
